Greetings,

We all know that while Christ wants to unite us, Satan seeks to divide us. This is how Paul describes what Christ does for His people:

Galatians 3:26-28 (NKJV) – “For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. [27] For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. [28] There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.”

This is Jesus’ explanation for division:

Matthew 12:25 (NKJV) - “But Jesus knew their thoughts, and said to them: "Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand.”

Just as a marriage or family cannot thrive when there is division, neither can a company, a church, a sports team, an army, a government, or a nation. Division is the work of the enemy. God’s desire is that His people to bring healing to a divided world.

Father, You have made us one. I ask that You would help us understand how to put this revelation into practice in our daily lives. My prayer is that You would help all humanity experience a revelation of how division is working against us. Cause Your Kingdom to prosper by showing all of our brothers and sisters how to live according to the principles of oneness that You teach in Your Word. Let it begin in me.

Today, I’m worshiping with Josie Buchanan and “Whatever Your Plan Is.”

Greetings,

What is the standard by which Christians should live our lives and that should govern actions toward others? It’s easy to find excuses to treat people badly: we’ve had a difficult day, the bills are due, we were treated disrespectfully, or we had a disagreement with a spouse. We might think that justifies our behavior, but does it? We must first consider these words from the Book of Psalms:

Psalm 119:128 (NKJV) - “.... all Your precepts concerning all things I consider to be right; I hate every false way.”

According to the writer of this psalm, the bottom line must be this: God’s Word is the ultimate and completely accurate authority on all human and spiritual matters. When God’s Word is not accepted as ‘truth,’ it permits all types of incorrect behavior to be to become normalized.

Take racism as an example. Racism, or the belief that one race is superior to another, arises because embrace a concept that is against the standard of scripture. We all have the same ancestry Adam. None of us even really that much different from one another. According to the following scripture, I submit that racism could never be a biblical concept:

Acts 17:26 (NKJV) – “And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their pre-appointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings.”

Lord, help us to accept Your Word as ultimate truth! Give me grace to treat everyone I meet with kindness and respect. All humanity is my distant kin, for You created each of us as Adam’s descendants. So Jesus, love the world through me and allow my actions to reflect Your goodness to everyone.

Greetings,

What has God created you to do? You do know that He made you for a purpose, right? Not even one of us is here by accident. The key to personal satisfaction and a sense of accomplishment is to fulfill the reason for which you were created. Look at what Apostle John wrote that Christ said to the Father:

John 17:4 (NKJV) – “I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do.”

Have you discovered what your purpose is? If not, you should get busy finding why you were born so you too can “finish it.” Until you make that discovery, and then begin doing your Father’s business, life will not—and indeed, cannot be fully satisfying.

Father, today I exalt You as my God and Creator. I ask You to reveal the reasons why You fashioned me and allowed me to be born. I want to stay busy doing Your business, Father. And like Christ, I want to finish the work You have given me to do.

Today, I’m worshiping with Upperroom  and “Pour My Love On You.”

Greetings,

Have you had one of those really “rough days” recently? Maybe you’ve had more than one? Does it seem that you’ve had a whole lot of them? If you’ve been thinking that you may never smile again because of all those bad days, I have some incredible news for you. Are you ready?

Our Jesus is alive! He conquered death, hell and the grave, and rose again!

John 14:19b (NKJV) – “. . .Because I live, you will live also.”

That’s enough to put a smile on anyone’s face!  So don’t let the enemy steal your joy—because the joy of the Lord is your strength. Think about it! His joy is where our strength comes from!

Father, today I thank You for the joy You’ve given me. And since the world didn’t give it to me, as the old song goes, the world can’t take it away! Knowing that death, hell and the grace have been conquered puts a smile on my face. You have gone the extra mile, and You did it for me! I love You!

Today, I’m worshiping with Kirk Franklin and “Smile.”

We love you and are praying for you. Be INSPIRED!
