Greetings,

Things don’t always turn out exactly the way we asked God to make them happen. But does that mean that God didn't hear us when we prayed? Does it mean that He doesn’t care? No, of course not. He always loves us and wants what is best for us.

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV) – “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; [6] In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.”

The problem is that we really don’t always know what is best. Even when we’re experiencing pain, our light affliction is accomplishing something far greater than we had imagined. Sometimes we are broken to experience a greater measure of His glory.

Lord Jesus, I want to know You, not only in the power of Your resurrection, but also in the fellowship of Your sufferings. Even in my brokenness, I will trust You.

Today, I’m worshiping with Matt Redman and Tasha Cobbs Leonard and “Gracefully Broken.”

We love you and are praying for you. Be INSPIRED!

Greetings,

What have you chosen to lay aside that you might pursue Christ? Was it wealth, fame, or possessions? Probably not. After all, God wants to bless us. but if you did, I dare say it wouldn’t compare with what Moses sacrificed to follow after God.

As an infant, he became the son of Pharaoh’s daughter and heir to unbelievable riches. Yet, he gave it all up to suffer affliction with God’s people. Why? He counted the treasure of knowing God as greater wealth than anything the world could ever offer.

Hebrews 11:24-26 (NKJV) – “By faith Moses, when he became of age, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter, [25] choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin, [26] esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt; for he looked to the reward.”

You can NEVER out-give God! We may consider financial offerings to be the only acceptable form of giving; but giving is so much more than that. Whether you let go of ungodly influences, the wrong associations, fame, bad habits or even fortune to follow Christ, what you receive in return will always be of far greater value.

Thank You, my Lord, for the riches of knowing You. I am rich beyond this world’s comprehension. The wealth I experience in being Your child, and the satisfaction I find in knowing You is beyond comparison!

Today, I’m worshiping with Wilder and “Lay It All Down.”

Greetings,

My grandmother used to teach me, “Be friendly to everyone, but choose your friends carefully.” That was great advice back then—and it still is today.

Proverbs 12:26 (NKJV) – “The righteous should choose his friends carefully, For the way of the wicked leads them astray.”

The quality of your life is determined by the quality of your thoughts. If you want to change your conduct, you must first change your thinking. For that to happen, it sometimes helps to change your context. That could mean that you must change your companions.

Wrong companions will not allow you to change the way you think. They keep articulating the same wrong ideas. They influence you to think that way too. Until your thinking changes, your conduct will remain the same. If your conduct is not changed, your character will never improve. Wrong friends are sure to lead you astray!

Father God, bring the kind of people into my life who will help me better please You. Bring people around me who will help me aspire to the standards of kindness, godliness and goodness that I read in Your Word. I don’t want to be influenced by the wrong forces to think negatively or act incorrectly. I want to live a life that pleases You. I belong to You!

Today, I’m worshiping with Casting Crowns and “The Change in Me.”

Greetings,

Sometimes, what we need is the rain of Heaven to fall upon us. There are times that extra finances or a miracle isn’t what matters most. What our hearts thirst for is the sweet rain of the Holy Spirit to fall upon our souls!

We can become like the dry, dusty ground in the summertime when it is so parched you can hardly remember the last time it rained. It seems as though our souls are dry, cracked, and lifeless.

Until God sends the rain, nothing seems to work right. Marriages are unproductive, we become irritable and short-tempered and everything we touch seems to wither. Lord, we need Heaven’s rain!

Hosea 10:12 (NKJV) – “Sow for yourselves righteousness; Reap in mercy; Break up your fallow ground, For it is time to seek the LORD, till He comes and rains righteousness on you.”

Father, send the rain of Your Holy Spirit upon us. Let it fall upon me! Rain upon my heart until I’m saturated with Your Spirit. Rain until my soul flourishes and is alive again. Rain until I thrive in Your presence once more. I need Your Spirit to rain upon me.

Today, I’m worshiping with Earnest Pugh and “Rain on Us.”

We love you and are praying for you. Be INSPIRED!
