Greetings,

What are the judgments of God? We read in Isaiah 26:9 (NKJV) – “With my soul I have desired You in the night, Yes, by my spirit within me I will seek You early; For when Your judgments are in the earth, The inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.”

Isaiah desired God and His “judgments.” Did that mean he was asking God to punish humanity for doing wrong? Oh, no! Not one among us is without some fault or error. I shudder when I hear people ask God to punish others, knowing how much we all deserve God’s wrath.

The word “judgments” refers to God’s divine laws. He designed these precepts for us because in His infinite infinite foreknowledge, He determined or “judged” what would be the best of all possible paths that we could take. As we learn more about those laws, we understand the difference between righteousness and evil. Those who follow God’s advice and guidance are blessed, while those who ignore and refuse to follow His ways are choosing a path that will lead to suffering and pain.

Because Christ lives, you and I have no reason to fear God’s wrath or punishment. At Calvary, Jesus paid the price for our disobedience. Like Isaiah, when we learn more about God, it enables us to seek and to draw closer to Him, as we enjoy His divine favor upon our lives.

Thank You, Jesus, for paying the terrible debt for our sins and then rising again from the grave. I pray that You will teach me Your divine laws that I can be in alignment with Your plans for my life. Lead me according to Your judgments.

Greetings,

In life we run into problems that are beyond our ability to solve them all the time. But have you ever heard of anything that is too hard for our God? Have you ever known Him to encounter a problem that He could not solve, or one that even caused Him to be concerned? Of course not!

Job 42:1-2 (NKJV) – “Then Job answered the LORD and said: [2] "I know that You can do everything, And that no purpose of Yours can be withheld from You.”

Life can bring challenges that are too big for us to handle by ourselves, but the Creator of life can do anything! There is no crisis is too great for Him to solve.

Father God, I thank You for being such a mighty God! I praise You for being so strong and so faithful. You have never let me down—not even once! By Your grace, I ask that You give me the strength to do what I’m capable of doing, while at the same time I depend upon You to do the rest. I know that I can rely upon You because You are always faithful.

Today, I’m worshiping with Hope Darst and “Peace, Be Still.”

Greetings,

We all need a little help from time to time, don’t we? Perhaps it’s just a word of advice or comfort. When those times come, to whom should we turn? Should it be only to family, friends, the church, an attorney or a trusted advisor? They are all important and we need them.

Job turned to his friends but they failed him. Fortunately he had a secret source in times of need. He had learned to go to God when he needed assistance.

Job 5:8-9 (NKJV) - "But as for me, I would seek God, And to God I would commit my cause, [9] Who does great things, and unsearchable, Marvelous things without number.”

Father, You are such a good God! I thank You for every person that You have placed in my life to assist me. I am grateful! But I’ve also learned there are many things that only You can do. I want to always look to You for help. You alone have the power to do great and marvelous things without number, things that are unsearchable! Thank You for healing, for protection, for provision and for mercy.

Greetings,

God has been “famous” for such a very long time. Even before man was created, the angelic hosts were in awe of Him. He has a reputation to uphold. From the very first moment we knew Him at our creation, humanity has observed His holiness and His incredible wonders. His majesty is too awesome for words.

In this fallen world, men seek fame, but earthly popularity is fleeting. You can be well known today, and totally forgotten tomorrow. Andy Warhol, the artist, once spoke of our “15 minutes of fame.” It is short-lived though God’s fame will endure throughout all eternity. That’s because on our best day, we can’t come close to doing God has done!

Psalm 86:8-10 (NKJV) - “Among the gods there is none like You, O Lord; Nor are there any works like Your works. [9] All nations whom You have made Shall come and worship before You, O Lord, And shall glorify Your name. [10] For You are great, and do wondrous things; You alone are God.”

With a simple Word, God can create worlds; He can part seas, transform darkness into day, and raise the dead to life again. He can make a way when there is none. No one deserves our worship like the Lord!

God, do in my life what You are famous for. Become mighty on my behalf. Help me to give You the worship and praise that such majesty deserves. Receive my offering of devotion. You alone are worthy! I love you, Lord!
