Devotional: Day #

Greetings,

No matter how serious our problems are, they shouldn’t ever keep us from worshiping God. Ezekiel is a good example for us to follow:

Ezekiel 1:1 (NKJV) – “Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, on the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the River Chebar, that the heavens were opened and I saw visions of God.”

As punishment for their wickedness and idolatry, God’s people were forcibly removed from Judah to Babylon. Ezekiel was a godly man and a priest, but he was taken with them. Yet, in a strange land, under the worst possible circumstances, he was “in the Spirit” and saw visions of God.

That also happened to the Apostle John on the Isle of Patmos. While working in the salt mines as a prisoner of Rome, he explains in Revelation, chapter 1, what happened on the Lord’s Day. He was “in the Spirit” and saw visions from God!

My Father, help me to learn from these two great men of God. If they could continue worshiping while existing in such difficult circumstances, I know that I shouldn’t allow anything to prevent me from worshiping either. So, I want to praise You with all of my heart!

Today, I’m worshiping with Todd Delaney and “Pulling Me Through.”

Greetings,

Have you ever considered the fact that God commands us to be strong and to reject fear and anxiety? Read this, and you’ll see what I mean:

Joshua 1:9 (NKJV) - “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of goodcourage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go."

God is so interested in our frame of mind and the emotions we feel, that He commands us to be strong, both emotionally and mentally. This means that He puts in us the power to overcome fear and stress. When we refuse to be afraid or anxious, it helps us be at peace even in a storm. To consistently dwell in fear and anxiety is harmful toour health.

But how do we put into practice this command to be strong and of good courage? It must begin in our thoughts. Godwants us to know that “Abba Father” will always stay beside us and that we’re never alone. If our emotions are the result of our thoughts, and our actions are based upon our emotions, you can see how important it is to control ourthoughts!

Thank You, Lord, for your promise to never leave or forsake me and to be with me wherever I go. I love You for being so faithful to keep Your Word! Help me conquer strongholds of doubt and fear as I focus on Your great goodness to me.

Today, I’m worshiping with William McDowell and “Loss for Words.”

Greetings,

You may not have the most beautiful voice, but there is One who loves to hear you sing …. and that is our Lord! David said,

Psalm 13:6 (NKJV) – “I will sing to the LORD, Because He has dealt bountifully with me.”

In your daily devotions, don’t forget to sing to the Lord! Collect a few worship songs that you really enjoyand sing along with them. Let the sentiments and phrases of those songs become your own expressions of worship to God. You will be amazed at how it will expand your devotional life and help develop greater intimacy with God.

Dear Lord.… ”Then sings my soul, mySavior God to Thee; how great Thou art, how great Thou art…” You are not only a Mighty God, but my own personal Lord and friend!

Today, I’m worshiping with Lauren Daigle and “How Great Thou Art.”

We love you and are praying for you. Be INSPIRED!

Greetings,

Did you know that you’re not at the mercy of every thought or emotion that tries to enter your mind?

Colossians 3:2 (NKJV) – “Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.”

How do you “SET” your mind on things above instead of things on the earth? You can make those adjustments by“dialing in” to the right frequency. We can hear many voices and things being said in the world around us, but most of them are of little or no value—and some are downright destructive! We should filter those out.

So, be sure you’re tuning in and listening to the Voice! The reason this is so important is because the voices you listen to will determine the thoughts you think. They in turn will determine the emotions you’re feeling that day.

Dear Lord, Your Word says in Matthew 4:4 that man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word that proceeds from the mouth of God. That’s why I’m tuning in to hear the Words You wil lspeak over me today. Thank You for leading me by Your Voice!

Today, I’m worshiping with Kim Walker Smith and “Breathing Room.”
