Greetings,

When Adam and Eve sinned, they hid themselves from the Lord. Mankind has been doing the same thing ever since. We try to hide our weaknesses and failures from one another, and from God.

Every believer’s goal should be to do just the opposite. Our Heavenly Father wants us to be open and transparent with Him. It is to our own detriment when we try to hide our wrongs. After all, God sees it all anyway—and still loves us!

Proverbs 28:13 (NKJV) – “He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.”

When we confess and forsake our sins and imperfections, God covers us with His mercy and grace. But if we try to hide our sins, we can’t prosper.

Father, I come to You openly admitting my imperfections and failures. Forgive me where I have sinned. Keep me covered by the precious blood of the Lamb. Help me to become more like You. Thank You for loving me the way You do, with a love that is accepting and eternal.

Today, I’m worshiping with the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir and “That’s Why, God.”

We love you and are praying for you. Be INSPIRED!

Greetings,

Living in a broken world that’s filled with so much injustice can harden us. It’s so easy when we’ve been wounded and betrayed by those we love, to throw up walls around our hearts. Of course, those who hurt us are also victims of this broken, sin-scarred world. But listen to what God said:

Ezekiel 11:19-20 (NKJV) – “Then I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within them, and take the stony heart out of their flesh, and give them a heart of flesh, [20] that they may walk in My statutes and keep My judgments and do them; and they shall be My people, and I will be their God.”

God has promised to replace our heart of stone with a heart that’s tender toward Him and others. One of His greatest acts of grace is to make us ‘care’ again.

Father, soften our hearts. Help us to care about Your feelings and the many times we have sinned against You and those we love. We ask You to give us a heart that is tender and innocent, and to put a new spirit within us so we can truly be ‘Your’ people. Help us to give and receive love with open hearts.

Greetings,

How would you like to be able to live the rest of your life and never lack a thing? God has committed Himself to provide for those who will seek His Kingdom of God and His righteousness first. By first seeking Him, we not only get to enjoy His Presence, but we get to experience everything else in life that has any value.

Psalm 34:10 (NKJV) – “The young lions lack and suffer hunger; but those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing.”

Isn’t that an amazing promise? We don’t have to worry about all the things that are constant concerns to others. Our Heavenly Father has promised that He will take care of us. Without being distracted by anxiety or worry, we get to focus on what really matters—knowing Christ!

Lord, I am in awe of You and Your glorious majesty! To think that You would allow me to really know You is a mystery far greater than I could ever comprehend. Even more is the fact that if I’ll put You first, You will bless every other area of my life. What a promise. I love You so much!

Greetings,

Paul asked his good friend, Philemon to add whatever wrong his runaway servant Onesimus might have done, with any other debt he owed, to his (Paul’s) account. Read this touching story in the Book of Philemon:

Philemon 1:17-19 (NKJV) – “If then you count me as a partner, receive him as you would me. [18] But if he has wronged you or owes anything, put that on my account. [19] I, Paul, am writing with my own hand. I will repay--not to mention to you that you owe me even your own self besides.”

This story always blesses me! Did you know that Jesus did the same thing for you and me? He took all the wrong thoughts, intentions and deeds that we had committed and put them on His own account. Then He paid that debt with His death on the cross. How could we not love such a wonderful Savior?

Lord, thank You for paying the debt I owed that was impossible for me to pay. The receipt that proves You have paid my debt in full are the many scars on Your hands, Your feet, Your brow, and on Your back. All I can say is, “THANK YOU!”

Today, I’m worshiping with Richard Smallwood and “Thank You.”
