Greetings,

A single touch from Jesus has amazing power! The lady with the issue of blood who desperately needed healing proved this to be true.

Mark 5:27-28 (NKJV) – “When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. [28] For she said, "If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well."

Can we still “touch” God today? There are many ways to do so. Scripture tells us that we can touch God through prayer, through giving, and through faithfulness. Of course, one of the most prominent ways of touching God is through worship. When we lose ourselves in worship, it definitely touches His heart.

Father, today I love and worship You more than anything in this world. You are the very best thing that has ever happened in my life, and I love You more than words can express! I lift You up. To You alone belongs the glory.

Today, I’m worshiping with Kim Walker Smith and “You’ll Always Be.”

We love you and are praying for you. Be INSPIRED!

Greetings,

Found in Psalm 86, this prayer of David is one of the most important that we could ever pray:

Psalm 86:11 (NKJV) - “Teach me Your way, O LORD; I will walk in Your truth; Unite my heart to fear Your name.”

David prayed for God to teach him His ways. But for that to happen, we must first have a teachable spirit. How many “know-it-all” people have you met who believe they are right about everything? They think they have all the answers and already possess the right solutions for every problem and situation. When someone has such an attitude, you can be sure they will learn very little from others.

I don’t want to have that attitude toward God. My prayer is for Him to teach me His ways. But that means I must be willing to study the Word of God, listen and learn from other believers, and pay attention to the preaching of God’s Word.

Father, create in me a teachable heart. Give me a desire to know You and learn Your ways, and especially what matters to You. I want to be taught. Obedience to Your Word is important to our lives.

I desire to honor You by giving Your Word the very highest priority in my life. I thank You for sharing with me the powerful and life-changing principles that are found in the Word of God.

Greetings,

Sometimes, what we need most is hope! Despair can be so overwhelming, that at times we might feel as if the sun will never shine again.

When you have suffered a great loss, the enemy loves to whisper that more disappointments are sure to come. He wants you to think that your world will fall apart. But our God loves to fill us with “good hope.”

2 Thessalonians 2:16-17 (NKJV) – “Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and our God and Father, who has loved us and given us everlasting consolation and good hope by grace, [17] comfort your hearts and establish you in every good word and work.”

God gives us “good hope,” because He always keeps His promises. The sun will shine again, no matter how dark it may seem at this moment. You are going to make it! Your Heavenly Father loves you and will never forsake you.

Father God, I thank You for giving us hope in the middle of despair, for giving us peace in the middle of a storm, and for the light of Your Word in the darkness of night. Thank You for GOOD HOPE!

Today, I’m worshiping with the Gettys and “Christ Our Hope in Life and Death.”

Greetings,

Listen to the words of this Psalm:

Psalm 86:2 (NKJV) – “Preserve my life, for I am holy; You are my God; Save Your servant who trusts in You!”

“Preserve my life … for I am holy?” What on earth is David, the writer of this psalm, saying? How audacious can one get! This is the same David who committed adultery with Bathsheba and then ordered the death of Uriah, her husband. Uriah happened to be one of David’s friends! Yet here he is telling God that he is holy! How could he dare make such a claim to God, especially since the word translated ‘holy’ means: a saint? It is because David understood God’s merciful nature:

Psalm 86:5 (NKJV) – “For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, and abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You.”

Yes, David sinned grievously, but he turned to God in repentance, rather than turning away from Him in rebellion. God will also forgive us when we do wrong, if we will repent and forsake our sinful ways. All of us need His mercy and forgiveness daily.

Father, today I ask You to forgive my many failures. Whether it was a sin of commission or one of omission, I need Your grace. I ask for Your mercy and thank You for hearing and cleansing me. Make me holy as You are holy. I’m glad that I am washed in the blood of Jesus.

Today, I’m worshiping with Sean Carter and “Redeemed by the Blood of the Lamb.”
