Greetings,
When you first give your heart to God, one of the lies that the enemy will tell you is that now you must be perfect. Of course he is lying. He knows that you are still human and will fail. When you do make a mistake and come to realize that you’re still living in a weak and imperfect body, he will then loudly declare that you’ve sinned, and therefore God will certainly and sternly reject you. The next tactic he will employ will be to make you feel overwhelmed with shame.
How do you defeat these lies of the enemy? One way is to live in a continual state of humility before the Lord. All we have to say is, “Lord, I thank You that I stand forgiven though I am weak. Forgive me for each time that I have failed You. I thank You for grace.”
David sinned horribly, but he found mercy. That was even before Christ had come to earth to atone for our sins. How much more is forgiveness available to those who stumble today, after we consider what Jesus did on the cross for us? When you’ve blown it, don’t listen to the enemy. Instead pray as David did:
Psalm 51:1 (NKJV) – “Have mercy upon me, O God, According to Your lovingkindness; According to the multitude of Your tender mercies, Blot out my transgressions.”
Father, today I thank You for the blood of Jesus that cleanses my heart from all sin and unrighteousness. Forgive me where I have erred. I thank You today that I am clean in Your sight. Not because of anything I’ve done, but because of the sacrifice of my Lord and Savior.

Greetings,
Over the many years, from the days long before the psalmist David until now, song writers have tried to describe how wonderful God is. In spite of their eloquence and passion, human words still fall short when attempting to portray our Lord’s love, magnificence and glory. Among the wonders we cannot explain, one that overwhelms us, is to think about Jesus leaving the splendors of heaven that we could experience the riches of knowing Him.
This scripture is one of my very favorites:
2 Corinthians 8:9 (NKJV) – “For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.”
For our sakes, He became poor! Christ did this for every one of us! Isn’t that amazing?
Lord Jesus, I thank You for all that You have done for me. I am in awe of Your great sacrifice on my behalf. You did it all that we might become the children of God! Such love and devotion are too glorious to comprehend. I love You!

Greetings,
God wants you to be blessed today—in every area of your life! This is what His Word declares:
3 John 1:2 (NKJV) – “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in ALL things and be in health, just as your soul prospers:”
Did you notice that God wants us to prosper in ALL things? Just as He desires for our souls to prosper, He also wants us to be healthy and well. It is a lie from the fallen one that our Heavenly Father would prefer for us to limp along spiritually, or that He wants our marriages, finances, health, and the other area of our lives to be inadequate. God wants to bless us—period!
Lord, I worship and thank You in advance for every blessing that is coming my way. You always have my best interests at heart. Blessings are coming to every area of my life because You have declared that is You will for me. Knowing this is what You desire for my life, by faith I can agree with Your Word and declare, “This is the day the Lord has made. I will be rejoice and be glad in it!”

Greetings,
Have you ever noticed how many of God’s blessings the Bible declares there are connected with God’s House? David called this the “fullness” of God’s House, where we are able to drink from the river of God’s pleasures.
Psalm 36:7-8 (NKJV) – “How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God! Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings. [8] They are abundantly satisfied with the fullness of your house, And You give them drink from the river of Your pleasures.”
The enemy clearly does not want us to be satisfied as we live for God. He wants us to experience emptiness. That’s because he can use emptiness to our harm by enticing us to fill the void on the inside with other things. Just as you are less tempted to eat something you probably shouldn’t when you are full, the wrong things are far less attractive when our hearts are satisfied in God.
We find rivers of delight in the House of God. He satisfies us like no nothing else can when we gather together in corporate worship. The radiance of His beauty and love captivates, and then satisfies our deepest longings. No wonder the enemy opposes you each time you make an effort to go to worship in God’s House! That’s the last place the enemy wants you to be. Make attending worship at last once a week one of your highest priorities, and watch your life be transformed.
Father, I want to be satisfied with the fullness of Your house. Nothing else meets the longings of my heart so completely as You do. You alone can fill the emptiness we all experience within. What a great God You are! How marvelous, how glorious! How worthy You are of my praise.
