Greetings,

Have you thought today about how your life can make a difference in this world for good? One of the most important questions we could ever ask ourselves is, what will be my legacy when I die? No one wants to leave this world without knowing they have made this world a better place.

Notice what scripture says about Jehoram, one of the wicked kings who ruled over Judah:

2 Chronicles 21:20 (NKJV) – “He was thirty-two years old when he became king. He reigned in Jerusalem eight years and, TO NO ONE’S SORROW, departed. However they buried him in the City of David, but not in the tombs of the kings.”

No one missed Jehoram or was even sorrowful when he died. What a sad commentary about a person’s life. My desire is to serve others daily and make a difference in the way they live—for God and for good! Jesus made His life count!

Father, help me to make a difference in someone’s life this very today. Use me. Help me to make the world a better place while I’m here on earth. I want to be more interested in what I can do for others than what they can do for me. Work through me today. Help me to recognize every opportunity You give me to serve You, by helping others.

Today, I’m worshiping with Josie Buchanan and “Whatever Your Plan Is.”

Greetings,

Paul said that we are to be a LIVING BIBLE that others who do not know God can “read” and better understand the character of God as it is lived before them.

2 Corinthians 3:2 (NKJV) – “You are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read by all men.”

While some people may never pick up a Bible, the bigger question is: will they see Christ in you and me? The Apostle Peter even admonished those who were married to unbelievers to live in such a manner that their companion could be won to Christ by merely observing their godly behavior. The longer we serve Christ, the more like Him we should become.

Father, help me to become more like You each day. Let my life become a “living epistle” and cause others to see You in me. May they come to know You through me. Your love and kindness are captivating. I pray that You will care for others through me. It is a privilege to be influenced by You.

Today, I’m worshiping with the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir and “Pleasing.”

Greetings,

Hasty decisions can produce catastrophic results that we later regret. It pays to do some serious thinking before making a major decision, rather than making an impulsive choice based on emotions, and then thinking about it later.

It’s also vital to seek God’s will in prayer, and listen to godly counsel before making a decision about an important matter. Is this the house that God wants me to buy? Is this the person God wants me to marry? Don’t be in such a hurry that you’ll make a decision you’ll later regret.

The Gibeonites deceived Israel into believing they were from a distant country by wearing old tattered clothes and carrying molded bread. That is how they tricked Joshua and the leaders of Israel to make a peace treaty with them.

Joshua 9:14-15 (NKJV) – “Then the men of Israel took some of their provisions; but they did not ask counsel of the LORD. [15] So Joshua made peace with them, and made a covenant with them to let them live; and the rulers of the congregation swore to them.”

By failing to seek God’s advice, Israel was ashamed and embarrassed when they learned the men lived just a short distance away. This decision, made without first consulting God, produced consequences that Israel had to deal with for many generations. Five minutes in prayer could have helped them avoid this huge mistake.

Father, I need Your guidance in all I do. Direct me in the decisions I make that I may walk in Your ways. Lead me in the path that You want me to take. Guide my thoughts and my actions. I want to make choices that exalt You and bring You glory, not those that dishonor You and cause pain. Thank You for hearing me and guiding my steps.

Greetings,

Have you ever noticed how people who have endured the most trouble and faced the greatest tribulation are usually the happiest, and how they often have the greatest faith in God?

That’s because God has proven His faithfulness to them. That gives them a healthy and positive outlook on life! Embracing a healthy outlook is vital to living successfully. If your outlook is negative, your whole life will be too.

On the other hand, those who have the least to complain about, often do so the most. Inevitably they are also the loudest. Everyone around them is often thinking, “Do you not see all the good things you have been blessed with?”

Remember how God miraculously delivered Israel from the Egyptians and they walked across the Red Sea on dry ground? They ate angels’ food in the desert and lived in what we would call “air conditioned comfort” by day and “central heat” by night.

Their shoes and clothes did not wear out and a rock followed them that constantly poured forth rivers of water in the dry desert. Yet, these same people complained without end. Old folks used to say “that some people can complain with a loaf of bread under each arm!” Scriptures tells us that it’s always better to have a thankful heart!

Psalm 75:1 (NKJV) – “We give thanks to You, O God, we give thanks! For Your wondrous works declare that Your name is near.”

Father, help me to focus on the many, many good things in my life, rather than the few disappointments I’ve encountered along the way. As the old song goes, “All of my good days, outweigh my bad days, I won’t complain.” Lord, You have truly been good to me!

Today, I’m worshiping with Shekinah Glory Ministries and “How Deeply I Need You.”
