Greetings,

Psalm 46:1-2 (NKJV) declares, “God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. [2] Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea.”

Did you read that? God is VERY PRESENT in times of trouble. When darkness surrounds us, we often question whether or not God is with us. The reason we can’t see Him, is because we find it difficult to see when it’s “dark.” That’s as true in the spiritual as it is in the natural.

But God doesn’t have a problem with His vision. In fact, some of His best work is done in the darkness. King Hezekiah went to bed one night really stressed about a huge army that had surrounded Judah. So, he decided to pray. That night, God walked into the enemy’s camp and killed 185,000 warriors.  When the sun came up the next morning, they were all dead.

Daniel spent the night in a lion’s den; but in the darkness of the night, God worked for him by closing the mouths of the lions!

Thank You, my Savior, for You are always with me. You are a very present help in times of trouble and difficulty. Even if this earth encounters such turmoil that mountain ranges disappear into the ocean, Your Word says that You will not forget or forsake me. I can trust You to be there, making a way for me and giving me joy throughout the process. You are with me, and I worship You!

Greetings,

Have the odds ever seemed to be stacked against you? Does it seem at times, that life has become impossible? While David was being pursued by Saul and his mighty army, David never forgot who his Protector was.

When the Ziphites betrayed David by reporting his hiding place to King Saul, he feverishly sought to kill David. There seemed to be no way David would survive—but he did!  Notice what David wrote:

Psalm 54:4 (NKJV) – “Behold, God is my helper.”

Since God cannot fail—and He’s on your side— when we trust in Him, how could it ever be possible for you to fail? With God’s help, David not only continued to elude Saul, he was able to thrive while enduring extreme pressure from his adversaries. During that time, he just kept drawing closer to God … and so can you! David wrote many of our favorite psalms during this season. Don’t let your troubles get you down.

People may betray you, talk about you, and try to hold you back, but we read in Romans 8:37 (NKJV) - “Yet in all these things we are MORE than conquerors through Him who loved us.”

When you’re in Christ, adversity cannot stop you unless you let it. It will only promote you! Just think of all that He has already brought you through!

Lord, I thank You for being my helper! Even though I can do very little about many of the things that I face in life, having You, the Lord of Angel Armies to help me, guarantees the outcome. So I praise You in advance. The battle is Yours, but the victory is mine.

Greetings,

Today, I’m worshiping with Sipho Ngwenya and “Ebenezer.”

I love this song and the beautiful harmonies, for which Gospel music in South Africa is noted. Let me explain the words used in this song. They come from the Bible.

1 Samuel 7:12 (NKJV) – “Then Samuel took a stone and set it up between Mizpah and Shen, and called its name Ebenezer, saying, “Thus far the LORD has helped us.”

The translation is: “Ebenezer, you have been with us thus far. We thank you, you have been with us thus far.”

Question: do you have any Ebenezer memorials in your life that remind you of a time when God helped you? I do! If you’ll think about it, I’m sure you have them, too! I trust this song will be a blessing to you.

Father thank you for the many times You have helped me. My life is marked by a number of my own personal Ebenezer’s. Every one of us has been blessed. It’s not because of us. It’s all because of You! I give you praise!

We love you and are praying for you. Be INSPIRED!

Greetings,

What happens when God doesn’t do things the way you expected? How do you respond when you pray for a miracle, a healing, or a promotion—and it doesn’t come? Think about this scripture:

Hebrews 11:39 (NKJV) - “And all these, having obtained a good testimony through faith, did not receive the promise.”

If they don’t receive the promises they’ve been waiting for when they expect them, some people believe that God has failed them. He hasn’t! What about these heroes of faith in Hebrews, chapter 11?

Hebrews 11:13 (NKJV) – “THESE ALL DIED IN FAITH, NOT HAVING RECEIVED THE PROMISES, but having seen them afar off were assured of them, embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.”

They are called heroes of faith because they never doubted God’s faithfulness, even when things didn’t go the way they had hoped. Rather, they continued to trust God, and continued to believe in Him and His goodness. This also agrees with Job’s commitment:

Job 13:15 (NKJV) – “Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him.”

Here’s a question that will help you measure your spiritual growth and development: can you continue to trust God and know that He is good even when you DO NOT see the answers you were expecting?

Lord Jesus, help me to believe and trust You more. You are absolutely trustworthy for not even once have You ever failed Your people or let us down. Thank You for that kind of faithfulness to us. You are amazing!
