Greetings,

Let’s stop and think about all that Christ went through on our behalf. He suffered unimaginable pain and humiliation for us.

John 19:1-3 (NKJV) – “So then Pilate took Jesus and scourged Him. [2] And the soldiers twisted a crown of thorns and put it on His head, and they put on Him a purple robe. [3] Then they said, "Hail, King of the Jews!" And they struck Him with their hands.”

Isaiah tells us why Christ endured so much humiliation and suffering for mankind:

Isaiah 53:4-5 (NKJV) – “Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. [5] But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.”

Though we were the ones who were flawed and sinful, Christ endured the terrible judgment that we should suffered. Instead of punishing us, God made us to become sons and daughters. Oh, what a Savior!

Thank You, Lord, for taking my place and dying for me that I could live for You! How could I ever stop loving You! Receive my praise. I offer it from the depths of my heart.

Today, I’m worshiping with Hannah Waters and “Christ Is Risen.”

Greetings,

What have you chosen to put away so that you might gain Christ? Was it wealth, fame, or possessions? Probably not; but if you did, I dare say it wouldn’t compare with what Moses sacrificed to follow after God.

As an infant, he became the son of Pharaoh’s daughter and heir to unbelievable wealth. Yet, he gave it all up to suffer affliction with God’s people. He counted the treasure of knowing God as greater riches than anything the world could ever offer.

Hebrews 11:24-26 (NKJV) – “By faith Moses, when he became of age, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter, [25] choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin, [26] esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt; for he looked to the reward.”

You can NEVER out-give God! We may consider financial offerings to be the only form of giving; but giving is so much more than that. Whether you surrender friends, fame, or fortune to follow Him, He will give you things that are of far greater value.

Thank You, my Lord, for the riches of just knowing You. The wealth of being Your child and the satisfaction I find in knowing You is beyond comparison!

Greetings,

I will never forget the times I have spent in the desert. I’m talking about the “real” desert where there were no trees, no buildings, no shelter or shade. It doesn’t take long for your strength to be sapped right out of you.

Equally miserable is to be stuck in a drenching, freezing downpour of rain without a shelter or even a jacket or umbrella. It doesn’t take long to be ‘chilled to the bone.’

Isaiah 4:6 (NKJV) – “And there will be a tabernacle for shade in the daytime from the heat, for a place of refuge, and for a shelter from storm and rain.”

God’s Presence can become a tabernacle from the heat and cold and a shelter from the wind and storm. As believers, we should learn to go straight to Him at the first sign of difficulty or challenge.

Father, I thank You for the shelter of Your Holy Presence in the difficult times of life. You sustain me and give me a covering when the storms of life are raging. I worship You!

Greetings,

God can turn your worst enemy into your biggest promoter! That boss, neighbor or co-worker who has constantly opposed you can begin to speak well of you and actively seek your advancement. How can you make this happen? By living according to this principle of God’s Word:

Proverbs 16:7 (NKJV) – “When a man's ways please the LORD, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.”

That means you will not retaliate when someone treats you wrong. You will refuse to respond with hateful or unkind words or anything that will cause them harm.

Father, teach me to live by the principles in Your Word each day of my life. Give me the grace to walk in Your ways as I trust You to fulfill every promise You have given to me.

Today, I’m worshiping with Upper Room and “Shout to the Lord.”

We love you and are praying for you. Be INSPIRED!
