Greetings,

Do you know a believer who was close to the Lord, but then turned and walked away from Him? Several well-known worship leaders have recently done this very thing. What do you suppose was responsible for destroying their relationship with God? Notice what Paul wrote in his epistle to Timothy:

1 Timothy 1:19 (NKJV) – “having faith and a good conscience, which some having rejected, concerning the faith have suffered shipwreck.”

It is so important for us to maintain our faith and our conscience. Both are based upon decisions that are made in the heart. Faith is simply choosing to place your trust in God. To keep a good conscience, we must stop what we’re doing when the voice of the Holy Spirit tells us not to go any further. Strong faith and a good conscience will keep us from wrecking our lives.

The enemy wants you to listen to “reason” and live in fear, rather than trusting God to keep you and your family safe. Don’t listen to the voice of the enemy when he says that what you’re about to do is okay; everyone else is doing it. That’s a sure way to suffer shipwreck!

Father, help me never to compromise my faith or my conscience. But if that should happen, help me to rebuild those two vital areas of my life so that I may live with integrity and character.

Today, I’m worshiping with the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir and “So You Would Know.”

We love you and are praying for you. Be INSPIRED!

Greetings,

Be careful not to become your own worst enemy by speaking a curse over your life.

Proverbs 18:7 (NKJV) – “A fool's mouth is his destruction, And his lips are the snare of his soul.”

The words that we speak can destroy our own lives and future. I’m not talking about what the enemy does, but what we do to ourselves when we speak death, loss, failure, and bondage over our destiny. Your life will never improve if you continually talk about your terrible problems and how tough life has become. Learn to speak faith. Talk about the goodness of God and His amazing promises.

Father God, thank You for the power You’ve given us to form and shape our future with the words we speak. Help us to use this power in a productive way, rather than to kill, steal, or destroy.

Today, I’m worshiping with Charity Gayle and Joshua Sherman and “Living in the Overflow.”

Greetings,

You can put your confidence in every Word that God has spoken. What we need most is not the comfort of family members or the encouragement of friends. We need to hear a Word from God, because He ALWAYS fulfills and keeps everything He has spoken.

Psalm 130:5 (NKJV) – “I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in His Word I do hope.”

His Word gives us hope in the time of trouble and assures us that everything is going to be all right. This is also His way of letting us know the outcome of what we’re facing—before it happens. Isn’t His Word AMAZING!

Father, I thank You for the anointed Word that I can read in my Bible and the comforting Word that You speak to my heart. With great confidence I trust in whatever You say, knowing that it will never disappoint me. I love You, Lord!

Today, I’m worshiping with Natalie Grant and “Isn’t He.”

Greetings,

All true wisdom begins with acknowledging that we serve an awesome God. This is what the scripture says:

Proverbs 9:10 (NKJV) - "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.”

When you begin to understand the greatness and holiness of God (which is the true meaning of “the fear of the Lord”), the parts of life that didn’t seem to fit will begin to fall in place. Suddenly, you realize that if God is so holy and we are so unlike Him, we would be forever lost!

But then Christ came to earth and gave His life for us. That, too, is more than the mind can grasp! How could He love US...so much? When we begin to comprehend this powerful truth, our worldview begins to change. We want our lives to glorify the One who died for us. We want our words and deeds to reflect His love and holiness. That’s why we must never stray away from the cross. It’s the cross that gives us the right perspective.

Jesus, thank You for the cross where You gave Your blood for me. Oh Lord, keep me near the cross!

Today, I’m worshiping with The Mississippi Mass Choir and “Near the Cross.”
