Greetings,
You are destined to not only conquer what has been attacking you, but to lead captive whatever has had you bound! This doesn’t happen because we possess power as mortals. It is because of who God is and His power working in us.
Isaiah 14:2 (NKJV) – “Then....they will take them captive whose captives they were, and rule over their oppressors.”
God’s greatness and all He has done for us goes far beyond my comprehension. The beautiful song, “How Great Thou Art,” has always been one of my favorites. For many years, it was the only hymn I knew that we would sing directly to God about His greatness. All of the others had lyrics that had us singing about Him.
Learning to declare God’s greatness and to personally give Him thanks for setting me free from whatever held me captive in the past continues to transform me. It seems to me that it keeps making God become bigger in my life as my problems become ever smaller.
Father, I thank You for being so amazing! You have been so indescribably beautiful and wonderful to me. Thank You for empowering me to rule over what frequently had me conquered in the past. Oh, how great You are!
Today I’m worshiping with Willow Creek and “How Great Thou Art.”

Greetings,
God has been so good to us. Doesn’t that make you want to live in such a way that your life becomes a constant reflection of your gratitude to Him? How pleasing that must be to our Heavenly Father! We can worship Him with other believers while we’re at church or in our time of personal devotion, but it’s even better when our very lives become a continual sacrifice of praise to Him!
Colossians 1:10 (NKJV) – “…that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.”
Dear Lord, I thank You for saving me. I am so blessed; far beyond what I could ever earn or deserve. Help me to learn more excellent ways of expressing my gratitude for Your goodness and grace. I want to please You and be fruitful in every good work, that you may receive honor and glory through my life. You are worthy to be praised, honored, and glorified!

Greetings,
Ever notice how the enemy constantly reminds us of our past, and the many mistakes we have made? He tells us that God would never bless or use us after all of the wrong choices we have made. If he continually speaks those lies to me, I’m sure he does the same to you. But notice what God’s Word says:
Ezekiel 18:21-22 (NKJV) - "But if a wicked man turns from all his sins which he has committed, keeps all My statutes, and does what is lawful and right, he shall surely live; he shall not die. [22] None of the transgressions which he has committed shall be remembered against him; because of the righteousness which he has done, he shall live.”
No matter how wicked we might have been, or bad things were in the past, when we turn to God and begin to live for Him, none of those thoughts, words, or deeds will be remembered against us. Jesus’ death on the cross has given us a fresh start. Yes, we will make more mistakes because we are human; but if we will turn to Him in humility and repentance, they too will be cancelled by His blood. Isn’t our God amazing!
Lord, I thank You for being such a forgiving God and for erasing the sins of my past. I believe that the blood of Jesus covers my past, provides for my present, and secures my future. Thank You for loving me and giving me a new start!

Greetings,
It is so easy to form ugly habits of complaining, criticizing, and finding fault. Without even realizing it, we can fall into an awful rut of speaking negative words. Our speech can affect our lives for good or for bad.
Proverbs 18:21 (NKJV) – “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.”
It may not be the words we speak to others as much as those we say to ourselves. Our self-talk can be destructive—or it can be liberating and life-giving. Which one is yours?
Father, I pray that You will help me cultivate a lifestyle of speaking positive, encouraging words, rather than making negative remarks that produce death. Help me learn to speak life both to and about others, as well as in the conversations I have within my own heart.
Today, I’m worshiping with Clint Brown and “Waiting on You.”
