God wants you to be blessed today—in every area of your life! This is what His Word declares:

3 John 1:2 (NKJV) – “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in ALL things and be in health, just as your soul prospers:”

Did you notice that God wants us to prosper in ALL things? Just as He desires for our souls to prosper, He also wants us to be healthy and well. It is a lie from the fallen one that our Heavenly Father would prefer for us to limp along spiritually, or that He wants our marriages, finances, health, and the other area of our lives to be inadequate. God wants to bless us—period!

Lord, I worship and thank You in advance for every blessing that is coming my way. You always have my best interests at heart. Blessings are coming to every area of my life because You have declared that is You will for me. Knowing this is what You desire for my life, by faith I can agree with Your Word and declare, “This is the day the Lord has made. I will be rejoice and be glad in it!”

Have you ever noticed how many of God’s blessings the Bible declares there are connected with God’s House? David called this the “fullness” of God’s House, where we are able to drink from the river of God’s pleasures.

Psalm 36:7-8 (NKJV) – “How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God! Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings. [8] They are abundantly satisfied with the fullness of your house, And You give them drink from the river of Your pleasures.”

The enemy clearly does not want us to be satisfied as we live for God. He wants us to experience emptiness. That’s because he can use emptiness to our harm by enticing us to fill the void on the inside with other things. Just as you are less tempted to eat something you probably shouldn’t when you are full, the wrong things are far less attractive when our hearts are satisfied in God.

We find rivers of delight in the House of God. He satisfies us like no nothing else can when we gather together in corporate worship. The radiance of His beauty and love captivates, and then satisfies our deepest longings. No wonder the enemy opposes you each time you make an effort to go to worship in God’s House! That’s the last place the enemy wants you to be. Make attending worship at last once a week one of your highest priorities, and watch your life be transformed.

Father, I want to be satisfied with the fullness of Your house. Nothing else meets the longings of my heart so completely as You do. You alone can fill the emptiness we all experience within. What a great God You are! How marvelous, how glorious! How worthy You are of my praise.

When you look at the complicated situations that surround us, it can sometimes be difficult to believe that our problems could ever work out. Challenges come in many forms: a bad report from the doctor, or an announcement from your employer that people are going to be laid off, or a host of other things. When the way forward seems impossible, the enemy will tell you that it’s all over! He wants you to panic and be afraid because he thrives in an atmosphere of fear.

Believing isn’t always easy. At times you must contend for the faith— you must fight for it. Faith in God has the power to change things!

Jude 1:3 (NKJV) – “Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.”

Lord, help us to contend for our faith. I want to keep on believing You and Your promises, even when the way forward seems impossible. I want to believe everything Your Word says about You. You will never be less than who the Bible declares You are. i have found You to be even more wonderful than words can express!

As the song goes, You really are more wonderful than my mind can conceive, You are more wonderful than my heart can believe. You truly exceed my highest hopes and fondest dreams. There is no one else like You, Lord. I give You my praise.

Greetings,

God has called His Church to a ministry of reconciliation. If there was ever a time when that is needed, it is now. The world’s solutions seem to always divide people in some way. They tend toward separation.

In our fractured world, people have become so polarized, they will hardly speak to someone who doesn’t think like they do. Because so many people are divided over things like religion, social issues and politics, the Church must remember that it is our responsibility to unite and heal those fractures. God’s solutions are unlike the world’s. They always unite and heal. We have been called to a ministry of recoonciliation.

2 Corinthians 5:18 (NKJV) – “Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation.”

Jesus showed us the correct example when He bridged the uncrossable chasm to reconcile God and man. We too, are called to reconcile the unsaved to God and even believers with each other. What does that mean? It means that just like Christ took the first step and reached down to us when we could not reach up to Him, we must seek to unite the divisions among mankind by taking the first step in healing. We must not look at those who are different from us as “the problem.” Instead of waiting for them to approach us, we must follow Christ’s example of action and take the first step!

How did Jesus unite and make us one? By loving us even when we were unlovable! “Greater love has no man than this…!” He has called us to love everyone; not just those who are like us.

Dear God, help us to love one another as You have loved us. I want You to love others through me and through my actions. Help me not to harbor in my heart the divisive attitude of blaming others and thinking they are the enemy. Cause me to see others as You see them.
