Greetings,

How about giving life your best shot, right now! Don’t leave anything to chance. Once your life has ended, there will be no “do-overs!” That is the wise admonition of this scripture:

Ecclesiastes 9:10 (NKJV) – “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work or device or knowledge or wisdom in the grave where you are going.”

What an awesome life principle! Those who remain focused on what is right and good have proven time and again the importance of keeping your eye on the ball and refusing to be distracted. They have learned to keep the main thing the main thing—whether it’s their job, family, career, or ministry.

The same is true in our service to God. When we take our eyes off Him or move Him to second place, we don’t do very well. So, whatever you decide to do, do it with your whole heart!

God, help us to keep our eyes fixed on the prize of eternal life and never to be distracted by the cheap, insignificant things this world has to offer. We love You!

Today, I’m worshiping with Clint Brown and “Everyday.”

Greetings,

Believers who do not understand the merciful nature of our God are troubled by this scripture:

Psalm 66:18-20 (NKJV) – “If I regard iniquity in my heart, The Lord will not hear. [19] But certainly God has heard me; He has attended to the voice of my prayer. [20] Blessed be God, Who has not turned away my prayer, Nor His mercy from me!”

What does it mean to ‘regard iniquity’ in my heart? Does it mean that if I ever do something wrong, God will no longer answer my prayers? No! Everyone makes mistakes. But if we choose to sin instead of living righteously, or desire the world rather than God, our prayers will no longer be effective.

Father, I thank You for Christ’s sacrifice at Calvary and for dying in my place. Because of His blood, I can overcome sin and be in right standing with You!

Today, I’m worshiping with Richard Smallwood and “Calvary.”

Greetings,

A simple encounter with God in worship can change your life!

Proverbs 16:6 (NKJV) – “In mercy and truth Atonement is provided for iniquity; And by the fear of the LORD one departs from evil.”

The Bible says that the ‘fear’ of the Lord causes us to depart from evil. What does that mean? This type of fear refers to reverence for God, or to be in ‘awe’ of God.

In Isaiah, chapter 6, the prophet’s life was transformed when he saw the Lord, high and lifted up. Apparently, Isaiah’s speech had been unclean because this encounter with God transformed his lips! Can you imagine what would happen if each of us had such a personal encounter with God?

Father, we desire to know You and lift You so high, You will be enthroned in our praise as we worship You with all of our hearts!

Today, I’m worshiping with One Voice Children’s Choir and “I Can Only Imagine.”

Greetings,

Have you ever noticed the connection between the Presence of God and prosperity?

Psalm 132:13-16 (NKJV) – “For the LORD has chosen Zion; He has desired it for His dwelling place: [14] "This is My resting place forever; Here I will dwell, for I have desired it. [15] I will abundantly bless her provision; I will satisfy her poor with bread. [16] I will also clothe her priests with salvation, And her saints shall shout aloud for joy.”

Wherever God’s Presence is enthroned, poverty will soon be banished. When we seek the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, all the other things we desire will become a bonus. But if we seek other things first—instead of God’s Presence, life becomes a daily struggle. When we do not exalt Him, we must deal with unrighteousness, crime, and the terrible byproducts of poverty.

Today, I’m worshiping with William McDowell and “Hymn of Praise.”
