Greetings,

Do you ever feel spiritually weak? At times, does it seem that you are overwhelmed? It doesn’t have to be that way. You can be strong and stand tall--even in adversity. How is it possible to do this? By strengthening your inner man.

The best way to strengthen the inner man is to pray in the Holy Spirit. To do so, learn to pray until you break through the fleshly barrier into the realm of the Spirit. When you touch God, everything seems to change!

Jude 1:20 (NKJV) – “But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,”

I used to hear folks say they had “prayed through” about a particular matter. When you’ve “prayed through” about something, there’s no need to worry about the outcome. You know that God heard you and it’s going to be all right!

Father, strengthen our inner man as You build our faith. Teach us how to break through and touch You when we pray. Our prayer time is much more powerful in those times than when we just utter words that are spoken in the general direction of the ceiling. In breakthrough prayers, we are rising up and taking action, as we are empowered by You! Angels are being released to work on our behalf. Nothing we face can withstand Your holy Presence!

Greetings,

Why is God so good to us? It’s because His nature is to be good, but also because of the great love He has for each one of us. When you truly love someone, you cannot help but want them to do well. As Jesus declared in the Gospel of John,

John 3:16 (NKJV) – “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

Someone once said, you can give and not love, but you can never love and not give. God loved us so much that “He gave.”

Thank You, my Lord, for being good and for loving me the way You do. You were willing to give everything for me. I receive Your favor and blessings today. I am so thankful! Help me to show that same love to others.

Greetings,

How do we know when we’ve given God enough praise? How much worship is enough? The Scripture instructs us to:

Psalm 150:2 (NKJV) – “Praise Him for His mighty acts; Praise Him according to His excellent greatness!”

We are instructed to worship “according to His excellent greatness,” or until our worship expresses the value of how great He is. Wow! That could seem like an impossible assignment. After all, He is far greater and more worthy than we could ever comprehend. Notice the words of this psalm:

Psalm 106:2 (NKJV) – “Who can utter the mighty acts of the LORD? Who can declare ALL His praise?”

Who can declare ALL His praise? There aren’t enough hours in the day to give Him all the praise He deserves. That’s why the scripture tells us:

Psalm 113:3 (NKJV) – “From the rising of the sun to its going down, The LORD's name is to be praised.”

Father, today I praise You with my whole heart. You are worthy of much more praise than I am able as a mere mortal being to give. I want to spend this day praising You for being far more than just “good” to me! You are the best thing that has ever happened in my life. I love You!

Greetings,

What should believers do when laws are passed that oppose the teachings of scripture? I’m referring to laws such as thoselegalizing abortion on demand, or other things the Word of God is against. What position should we take when it is an election year and a candidate adopts a platform that is contradictory to the Law of God? All these are challenging issues but we must stand in love, while we stand in truth!

Psalm 94:20-23 (NKJV) – “Shall the throne of iniquity, which devises evil by law, Have fellowship with You? [21] They gather together against the life of the righteous, And condemn innocent blood. [22] But the LORD has been my defense, And my God the rock of my refuge. [23] He has brought on them their own iniquity, And shall cut them off in their own wickedness; The LORD our God shall cut them off.”

The ‘throne’ in Verse 20 refers to the legal system. As believers, we should love everyone, even those who do wrong. But regarding the legal system, remember that just because people pass laws that condone evil, it does not mean those laws are approved by God. As His children, we must also obey the laws of His Kingdom. Our allegiance is to our King.

In verse 23, God promises to judge those who violate His Law. He alone is qualified to do so and His judgment can be very severe!

As believers, how should we respond to ungodly rulers? There are times in elections that we are forced to choose between the lesser of two evils. So, we must remember to: (1) stand on the values of God’s Word; (2) pray; (3) and encourage more believers to become engaged politically. If godly leaders will rise up and stand together, we can help bring revival and change to our nation!

Father, I pray that You will guide us. Take control of our political and legal systems that righteousness may prevail in our nation. Help believers to stand for righteousness in love. Cause us to embrace the principles of Your Kingdom that our nation can be blessed. In Jesus Name
