Devotional: Day #

Greetings,

The enemy wants you to feelabandoned, alone and forsaken. But God’s Word assures us that you have afamily!

Psalm 68:6 (NKJV) – “God sets the solitary in families; He brings outthose who are bound into prosperity; But the rebellious dwell in a dry land.”

Those who belong to the family ofGod are never alone. People care about you and are praying for you. Even whenyou’re struggling through difficult situations, you are not alone— or at least, you don’thave to be.

Talk to someone in the church whereyou attend if you are facing a really difficult challenge. Ask them to pray foryou. God will honor the prayers of your brothers and sisters in Christ. Theywill strengthen you and God will help you to prosper again.

Lord, I thank You for giving me achurch family. Thank You for giving me caring brothers and sisters who willpray for me when I need a breakthrough. The support of Your people is anincredible blessing to me.

Today, I’m worshiping with JoshuaSherman, Charity Gayle, and Steven Musso and “Enter In.”

We love you and are praying for you.Be INSPIRED!

Greetings,

No matter how serious our problemsare, they shouldn’t ever keep us from worshiping God. Ezekiel is a good examplefor us to follow:

Ezekiel 1:1 (NKJV) – “Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in thefourth month, on the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by theRiver Chebar, that the heavens were opened and I saw visions of God.”

As punishment for their wickednessand idolatry, God’s people were forcibly removed from Judah to Babylon. Ezekielwas a godly man and a priest, but he was taken with them. Yet, in a strangeland, under the worst possible circumstances, he was “in the Spirit” and sawvisions of God.

That also happened to the ApostleJohn on the Isle of Patmos. While working in the salt mines as a prisoner ofRome, he explains in Revelation, chapter 1, what happened on the Lord’s Day. Hewas “in the Spirit” and saw visions from God!

My Father, help me to learn fromthese two great men of God. If they could continue worshiping while existing insuch difficult circumstances, I know that I shouldn’t allow anything to preventme from worshiping either. So, I want to praise You with all of my heart!

Today, I’m worshiping with Todd Delaney and “Pulling Me Through.”

Greetings,

Have you ever considered the factthat God commands us to be strong and to reject fear and anxiety?Read this, and you’ll see what I mean:

Joshua 1:9 (NKJV) - “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of goodcourage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with youwherever you go."

God is so interested in our frame ofmind and the emotions we feel, that He commands us to be strong, bothemotionally and mentally. This means that He puts in us the power to overcomefear and stress. When we refuse to be afraid or anxious, it helps us be atpeace even in a storm. To consistently dwell in fear and anxiety is harmful toour health.

But how do we put into practice thiscommand to be strong and of good courage? It must begin in our thoughts. Godwants us to know that “Abba Father” will always stay beside us and that we’renever alone. If our emotions are the result of our thoughts, and our actionsare based upon our emotions, you can see how important it is to control ourthoughts!

Thank You, Lord, for your promise tonever leave or forsake me and to be with me wherever I go. I love You for beingso faithful to keep Your Word! Help me conquer strongholds of doubt and fear asI focus on Your great goodness to me.

Today, I’m worshiping with WilliamMcDowell and “Loss for Words.”
